LOS ANGELES, CA, July 29, 2010 /Home and Garden PR News/ -- Los Angeles-based artist Bob Sparkman worked for many years as a wardrobe stylist for magazines, music videos and commercials and as a constumer for film and television, most recently "Frost/Nixon," "Angels & Demons" and "Nip/Tuck." In January of 2009 a friend gave Bob Sparkman 2 knitting lessons...2 lessons that have led to dramatic results.
With an innate ability, Bob set the rules aside and began exploring beyond them, letting his one-of-a-kind creations develop organically. While his hats, scarves and ponchos are featured at Traffic LA and Des Kohan, Bob continues to think outside the knitted box, currently finding inspiration from nature by creating felted wool pods, bowls and birdhouses woven with driftwood, crystals, sea glass, plants and other natural items. Knitting for Bob is a lesson in letting go and not thinking too much, allowing his hands, the yarn and the needles go where they want to go. He has also mentioned that someday he would like to learn how to knit a sweater.
